Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (II Che) Student Chapter

A student chapter of II Che is functioning actively in the campus. The II Che arranges talks by eminent industrialists on recent topics of chemical engineering for the benefit of the faculty of students.

 Inaugurated by: Dr. Kulandai Raj, Chairman , IIChE Kochin Chapter.

Programs conducted

1.     Seminar :-       “Safety In Chemical  Industries “ by  Dr.G.Madhu ( Secretary IIChE Kochi. Division, Manager (Process),FEDO.)on 13-04-2002

2.     Seminar: -       “ Total Energy Management “       by   Mr. K.C . Ramakrishnan , Deputy Manager (Process), FEDO)  on 13-04-2002.

3.     Industrial Visit to  TCC on Nov 2002.

 A seminar  was organized and conducted by Dept. Of Chemical Engg, GEC Kozhikode and IIChE Student Chapter  GEC Kozhikode on  “Energy Conservation and Management” by           Mr. C. Jayaraman,   and Mr.Manoj (Petroleum Conservation Research Association)                  on 09-12-2002

 With the PCRA team eight students of   Eighth Semester, B.Tech Chemical Engg conducted  Energy Audit and Environmental Audit in Parryson Agrotech Ltd., West Hill.

 Students participated in the following programs:-

 Ø     National Convention Of Chemical Engineers Conducted By Institute Of Engineers , Chemical Division . On Oct 2001 At Kochin. :-Mr. Sreejish.K And Lijin Kuriachan  (Eighth Semester, B.Tech Chemical Engg) .

Ø     CHEMCON 2001 At Chennai Conducted By IIChE And Central Leather Institute Chennai.  Mr. Sreejish.K , Lijin Kuriachan , Samir Nair (Eighth Semester, B.Tech Chemical Engg) .

Ø     Seminar On “Environmental Impact Assessment “ Conducted By IIChE Kochin Chapter- Mr. Sreejish.K , Lijin Kuriachan , Rahul.V. Panakkal , Khadeeja .K.M (Eighth Semester, B.Tech Chemical Engg) .
