The department has a well-equipped research laboratory with facilities for chemical and instrumental methods of analysis which include HPLC, AAS, GC-MS, TGA, FTIR, UV-vis spectrophotometer etc. The procurement of major equipment was funded by TEQIP-II and MODROB funds.

Simulation Lab provides the infrastructure to apply mathematical knowledge and carry out computational studies, design and analysis of processes. Computing facility with sufficient number of computers with high-speed internet connectivity is available. The entire campus is covered by Wi-Fi connectivity. Process Modeling and Simulation software like MATLAB, UNISIM, CHEMCAD, DWSIM, ANSYS and other advanced facilities required for the courses and project works are available in the simulation lab.

A multitude of books covering all topics of chemical engineering can be found in the Department Library. Apart from the institute's main library, the Chemical Engineering department library houses over a thousand books on a variety of subjects to meet the needs of both UG and PG students. Students' Project and Mini-project dissertations, Seminar reports, and Industrial Training reports, as well as previous year's University question papers, are all housed at the library.
